Lillian Presthus is primarily known for her paintings of close relationships and family life – family life in relation to the outside world. She has made her mark with several exhibitions in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and in the spring of 2013, she exhibited alongside Ingrid Berven (CYA) in New York.
is an exhibition based on pre-existing paintings. The paintings are taken from the studio to be altered and given new meaning. The canvases are cut into strips and reassembled like a weave, with warp and weft.
In this way, they undergo a transformation, and new artworks with new and altered meanings emerge.
