Landscape
The nature surrounding my studio is a constant source of inspiration, where I draw new energy. I often work physically on large-format paintings, using carefully selected pigments that I grind myself. I apply thick layers of paint with a palette knife, scratch into the surface, and work the textures. I want the paintings to be experienced sensually and immediately. Kandinsky aptly describes art as an inner necessity and passion, and how art and nature merge into a unified whole.
